How Does Your Dental Practice Compare?

For 30 years, CWA has provided guidance to thousands of dentists and dental practices for the effective management of their personal and business financial matters.

Through the years we have gained tremendous knowledge about the factors, attitudes and disciplines that get our clients to where they want to go. We also rely heavily on data that we compile and analyze annually. The insights we’re able to derive by looking at patterns, trends and aberrations year-over-year, enable us to come up with well-informed, data-driven strategies. From there, we customize to each clients’ individual needs, charting out the most effective action plans.

We’ve discovered that in addition to serving our clients’ planning needs, this data also gives a comparative look at performance across individual practices and across specialties. These comparisons, in turn, help us to benchmark and assess plans and goals. We believe access to this information elevates our entire community of dentists, which is why we develop and publish a yearly CWA dental practice comparison report.

How Does Your Dental Practice Compare? – 2013 Edition is a compilation of net income averages based on collections and overhead that were taken from a cross-section of CWA’s clients nationwide and broken out by specialty and the number of doctors. It also includes year 2012 averages for comparison, and helps provide perspective on how costs impact practices similar to yours. Use it as a high-level benchmarking tool to direct efforts and goals from year to year, and feel free to share it with others in your network that will likely find this information helpful for defining their own business goals.
