WEBINAR: Utilizing the Families First Coronavirus Response Act This Fall

Paid leave requirements, exemptions and tax credits owners need to know

The Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA) was the first piece of Coronavirus-related response legislation enacted by our government in mid-March. In prior updates, our advisors reviewed the legislation, detailing paid sick-leave benefits for both employers and employees.

However, since most dental practices were shut down, many have not had to comply with this new rule until recently. As schools resume virtually, re-open in person and even close again—being familiar with how to utilize FFCRA in your practice will be helpful.

In the final webinar of this series, host Judson Crawford is joined by CWA advisors Hunter Satterfield and Keith Klein. They will summarize the two parts of FFCRA and go into detail on more complicated parts of the law that doctors need to be aware of.

In the midst of gathering necessary documents, it can easily become a nightmare, however Hunter & Keith will also expand on how to set up tracking and documentation for FFCRA claims and requirements.

EPISODE 6: Utilizing the Families First Coronavirus Response Act this fall

In this webinar, Judson, Hunter and Keith update viewers on the details surrounding FFCRA including:

  • Emergency Paid Sick Leave qualifying events
  • Emergency Family & Medical Leave
  • Exemptions for small employers
  • Partial exemptions
  • Tax credits
  • Plan for tracking FFCRA claims

As we close out this series, the key takeaway for doctors should be to stay flexible and creative over the coming months in order to maximize productivity in the office. Setting up a plan now, before your practice is affected, will be important to minimize disruption.
