A CPA finding work-life balance<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CPA and Financial Planner Regan Stephenson<\/span><\/a> joined Cain Watters in 2011 after hearing about the firm from a friend and current employee. After working at a big four firm for some time, she was attracted to the opportunity to not only get to work on a personal level with clients but flexibility to allow her more time with her growing family.<\/p>

\u201cI love really getting to know people on a deeper level, and that is what intrigued me so much about CWA,\u201d she said. \u201cI liked the idea of forming real personal relationships with clients while at the same time getting to use what I was good at, finance and accounting, to really guide them.\u201d<\/p>

Originally from the Dallas area, after graduating from Texas A&M University, Regan moved back to Dallas, got married to Jordan and quickly began to grow both her career and family.<\/p>

Work-life balance isn\u2019t easy to achieve, especially when both her career aspirations and goals as a wife and mother are inherently high. Regan believes life is all about balance and managing priorities. She may not be able to cook dinner every night, but there will always be time made for a bedtime story, basketball game or walk to the park.<\/p>

Of course, it\u2019s not always easy, especially with two energetic children, one of which was unexpectedly born with Down Syndrome. Navigating her daughter\u2019s diagnosis brought a welcomed change in perspective, something that she now passes on to her clients.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u201cWe can all benefit from a change in perspective when the unexpected arises. There can be beauty that comes from situations that initially make us feel uncomfortable. My clients may not see it today, or in a year, or even in five years\u2014but every challenge you face, there is something of value that will come out of it.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In recent years, CWA has taken the initiative to support associates with families with various benefits like working remotely, enhanced paid time off and more. During her time at the firm, Regan has been able to build strong relationships with her clients and position herself as a leader in the office, all while being able to be there for her family.<\/p>
