Hunter received a Bachelor of Business Administration and his Master in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to joining Cain Watters, Hunter was a senior tax consultant at Ernst and Young. He specialized in tax compliance and consulting with individuals, partnerships and corporations. Hunter joined Cain Watters and Associates in October 2007 and appointed partner in 2019. His previous consulting experience helps him connect with his clients.

Hunter is a Certified Public Accountant, Investment Advisor Representative and host of the popular Accumulating Wealth Podcast. He and his wife, Carrie, have three high energy boys – Ronnie, Ethan and Luke.  Most of his time outside of the office is spent with his family, reading, playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.
